Q: What is the difference between the TTMIK grammar textbooks and the TTMIK workbooks?

A: Our workbook series offers supplementary learning for the contents of the grammar textbooks. With each workbook, you can effectively review the grammar points and expressions introduced in the textbook, through various types of quizzes and exercises.

Q: How are the paper books different from the Core Grammar courses?

A: The grammar textbooks are based on the Essential Curriculum, but you can learn more through more sample expressions and dialogues, as well as review quizzes. Studying with paper books will also give you a more hands-on experience if you prefer learning through books over online courses.

Q: I’ve already taken the level test on the TTMIK website. Do I need to take it again?

A: The TTMIK online bookstore level test is based on the one from the TTMIK website. So, if you have already taken the level test there and know your level, you can simply choose books that match your level without taking it again.

Q: Can I purchase books without an account?

A: Yes, you can purchase books without creating an account. However, your order details can only be found in the order confirmation email sent to the email address you provided at checkout.

Shipping

Q: How long will it take for my order to arrive?

A: Once you place an order, it will most likely be shipped out on the next business day(2 business days during sale periods). You can check the estimated delivery period for each courier in the table below or on this page.

Please note that on holidays and public holidays, delivery may take longer than the estimated delivery period.

If your order has not arrived within 1 week for domestic shipping or 2 weeks for international shipping, please feel free to contact us.

Q: I haven’t received my items yet./ The delivery seems to be delayed.

A: Estimated delivery period varies by courier. Please check the delivery times for each courier on this page.

If it has been more than 14 business days since the estimated delivery date specified in the page and you have not received your product for no specific reason (e.g. customs clearance), please contact us ASAP.

Q: How much do I need to pay for the VAT?

A: We have listed the countries confirmed to impose VAT along with their rates on this page. (There may be additional countries we have not yet identified.)

However, as customs regulations vary by country and authority, we recommend contacting your local customs office for the most accurate information.

Q: The book I ordered is missing. / I got the wrong book.

A: If an item is missing from your package or if the wrong book has been delivered, please contact us with the following information:

  • Order number
  • The title of the missing book/ incorrectly delivered book
  • Photo of all the books you received
Q: Return/Exchange Policy

A: Since every return/exchange request must be confirmed by us, please contact us here with your order number and the reason for return/exchange before you send the item(s) back to us. Please don’t return your item(s) to us until you get our response.

You can return/exchange any item with manufacturing defects. If an item was already damaged or defective when you received it, please send us an email with a photo of the damaged item.

If you want to return the item(s) without any special reason, please make sure of the following rules.

  • The item(s) must be unused and undamaged.
  • Shipping fees are not refundable, and the customer also needs to pay the return shipping fee.
  • We might not refund the costs or exchange the items if the books are damaged during the delivery.
Q: Damaged books during return

A: We are not responsible for the refund of the books damaged during the return process due to the customer’s non-payment or refusal of customs duties/ negligence/ mistake.

Q: Exceptions for Natural Disasters

A: Even if your order was lost due to a natural disaster, we can’t guarantee you that we can re-ship your order or give you a full refund.

Orders

Q: How much are the shipping costs?

A: Shipping costs vary upon your country and the total weight of your order. Thus, to find out the exact shipping costs, please add the items you wish to purchase to your cart and enter your address at checkout.

Then, the shipping costs will be automatically calculated in USD before you pay.

Q: I want to cancel my order

A: You can cancel your order within 15 minutes of purchase.
How to cancel your order:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Select the order you wish to cancel
  • Process the cancellation directly

Please understand that once the order has been shipped or is being prepared for shipment, it cannot be canceled.

Q: How can I change my billing/shipping address?

A: If you want to change your billing/shipping address, please contact us here within 3 hours after placing your order with your updated details.

Q: Can I get an invoice for my purchase?

A: Yes, you can get an invoice for your purchase. Please write to us here with your sign-in email address for our website and the order number for which you want to receive an invoice. Then, we will email your invoice to you as soon as possible.

Q: Do you offer book discounts for teachers and bulk orders?

A: We offer a 30% discount to teachers who teach Korean. Additionally, anyone ordering 100 books or more can also receive a 30% discount.

Payment

Q: Duplicate transactions

A: Duplicate transactions can happen if there are some hiccups in the connection, the page is refreshed in the middle of the transaction, or the back button is accidentally pressed during the payment process.

If there’s a duplicate payment, please write to us here with your order number and sign-in email address for our website.

We’ll look into the matter and get back to you as soon as we can.

Q: Why isn’t my credit/debit card payment via PayPal going through?

A: Please make sure that your card allows international payments.

If your PayPal account was registered in South Korea, please try making the payment without signing into PayPal by clicking the ‘Try another way’ → ‘Pay with a card’ button or by using another account that was not registered in South Korea.

In case it was caused by a technical error, please delete your browser cookies or clear your browser cache and try again.

Q: Can I pay in a different currency aside from US dollars?

A: Sure! You can choose your preferred currency on the checkout page of PayPal (or 2Checkout). However, in this case, you might have to pay a small currency exchange fee since the prices of our products are all based on USD.

Q: Do I have to contact the bank or credit card company directly in order to cancel my order or get a refund?

A: No, we can help you best with this! If you contact your bank or credit card company, it will take much longer to handle the issue and you can’t guarantee a full refund.So, please write to us here and let us sort out the issue for you.

Q: Why is my refund not appearing in my account?

A: Once we give you a refund, it usually takes a few business days for the money to show up back to your account or for the card transaction to be fully canceled. If you don’t receive the refund within 2 weeks, please contact us here with your order number.

Q: Why do I have to pay the sales tax?

A: This is in accordance with the US sales tax system.

In the United States, most states have a sales tax system and vendors should collect sales taxes when the sales volume exceeds a certain amount. Following this regulation, we are required to collect sales taxes in certain US states, which will be transferred to your state government. If you are seeing US sales taxes collected on our website for the first time, it is because our sales volume recently exceeded the minimum threshold in the state you are ordering from.
